You shall have the option of taking a boat on the lake Luzern to Alpnaschtad where you shall change to the steepest Cog-Wheel rail in central Switzerland to the mountain peak. From the top of the Pilatus complex, you shall have a magnificent view of the lake of Luzern. On return take the cable car to Kreins followed by coach returning to Luzern by evening.
